RICH HOUSE POOR HOUSE

Ten percent of the Finnish population is living below the poverty line, whereas six percent of Finns are classified as wealthy. The main question is will money bring happiness? What is the kind of happiness everyone can afford?

Rich House Poor House takes brave participants, families and individuals to a journey to a different class in society. During the one-week trial they will swap homes, lifestyles and wallets with the counterpart. The penniless gets to spend the weekly budget of the rich - and vice versa.

The series presents twenty households, of which half has a weekly budget only tens of euros and the other half has money to spend worth hundreds, even thousands. The contrast is evident. How will they cope with and adjust to their new budgets that are very different to ones they are used to? Participants get to look outside their own  bubbles - and nothing is what it seems.

Rich House Poor House is touching series about life and living in Finland – country ranked by the UN’s World Happiness Report as the happiest country in the world. We promise you great feelings – worth the whole money.
